Product Description

This is a 12" scale sculpture of an Australian Army Soldier during World War 1. As well as serving with distinction at Gallipoli in 1915 the 1st and 2nd Australain Infantry Divisions fought on the Western Front in all the major battles. During the 1916 Somme Offensive they captured and held the crucial village of Poziers from which the Allies eventually 'jumped off' to attack behind Thieval and towards High Wood. This is a Young Australian Soldier of around 1916 sounding his bugle during an attack.
