Product Description

Officer of the 11th Hussars beautifully captured in electro formed silver.

'The 11th Hussars, Cardigan's particular favourite regiment, and who as Colonel had lavished £10,000 per annum on horses, uniforms and equipment went into action 142 strong. The Regiment was on the left of the British 1st Line, the four troops drawn up in two ranks , officers to the front, sergeant - majors and trumpeters to the rear. After about 100 yards, as the valley narrowed, the 11th dropped back slightly to allow the 13th Light Dragoons and 17th Lancers room to attack. The advance, now came under intense cannon fire and the Hussars started taking casualties. Private Young was hit in the right arm, Pte Turner lost his left, a shell killed Cornet Houghton and Pte Ward. The Brigade broke into the 'Charge'. Riderless horses galloped along as though still mounted and the 11th came under musket fire from infantry scattered on the Fedioukine Hills to their left'.

Our collection of Hussar Cavalry figurines make great gift ideas for service and ex members of the regiment. They make great gifts and presents and are ideal as christmas presents, anniversary presents, fathers day gifts, birthday gifts and as commemorations.

We will supply this figurine on a solid Mahogany Base like the one in the pictures. It is ideal to display and engrave.
